Here in this post, i would like to sneak peak in to a Automation pillar which does the automation and orchestration whether it is IaaS, PaaS or even cloud native applications.

SaaS model is one which is preferred as it brings more flexibility in to your business along with bunch of features. VMware offers a bunch of Services along with SaaS subscription which otherwise not available with On-prem model.

Getting a Cloud services is easy as how you create a email account. You have option to choose Geo location based on your business ( security requirement) and get SLA backed services on scale. You need just a proxy to talk to your datacenter to start.

SaaS model is easy to get configured and does heavy lifting of all your time and effort to design, size, deploy and upgrade/update etc So does this would be a problem for On-prem .... Not at all .. As we know there are enterprise which has regulation in place for moving to SaaS we have added a extra solution to take care of all these phases of design to day 2 task using a simple unified solution called life cycle manager.

Will talk more about the on-prem deployment model later however even if we go with SaaS or On-prem, Automation platform logical components are same and illustrated below.
